BWMS Parent Update
8/28/2020
Great Staggered Start Week!
It was a great staggered start at BWMS. Our staff was able to review our new safety procedures and protocols while at the same time getting to spend some time in smaller groups getting to know your student. I know the students gained confidence and comfort as the day progressed and we are now excited for the return of all students in person or remote learning beginning Monday. We will continue to value the development of connection and then content and provide a great experience for kids in 2020. Thank you for your support.
Our teachers will continue to use Schoology to deliver assignments and communication. As a reminder, you can always view what your student would view in Schoology by clicking on each course and browsing around. The assignments and materials will be included in the Materials tab on the left side of the screen.
Have a great weekend and Go Eagles!

Go Eagles!
Important Updates
- Football Friday Nite is Back (but in a little different way). Feel free to check out the Golden Eagles via live stream HERE. Go Eagles.
- The First Day for all students is Monday 8/31/20.
- Students will take the Fall STAR assessment in reading and math next week in their LA and Math classes. This information is used to help us adjust instruction accordingly and meet your student where they are at and help them continue to grow in 2020.
- There is no school on Monday 9/7/20 due to Labor Day.
- Families are encouraged to access the BWMS Virtual Curriculum Videos from each teacher on Thursday 9/10/20 via Schoology. Each teacher will share details about their class as well as communication information for the 2020-21 school year so each parent knows how to stay in the loop about their student's learning.
- BWMS cannot provide supervision of students until 7:25 AM each morning so we ask that parents arrange drop off schedules accordingly. Students are requested to remain in their car until 7:25 upon which time they can report to their 1st period class.
- If your child will be absent, please call the attendance line at 740-965-7786 by 8:30am on the day of the absence.
- Parent Drop Off and Pick Up should use Fairland Drive. This is for the safety of our students riding the buses coming in from the Cheshire Road entrance. We ask that you pull all the way down to the Orange Cone so we can drop off and pick up as many students as possible. Student pick up will be different this year and we appreciate your patience. Student that arrive prior to 7:25 will need to stand socially distanced outside by standing one person per block.
