Week at a Glance
Marian Central Catholic High School Faculty Newsletter
February 15, 2020
Reflecting on the past week...
Busy, productive, & engaged! What wonderful verbs to describe the activity within the walls of Marian! Administration is always impressed with the activities and creative assignments we see as we walk through the halls or into your classrooms. College Stock, Robotic Arms, Online Course Selection, the Chess Team heading to State competition, and Wrestling Sectionals are all wonderful things to celebrate! We appreciate all you do for our students.
We hope that Friday's inservice was productive and informative. Thanks to Mr. Liggett for presenting the information on STREAM. As we take the school through the STREAM Certification process, we hope you will realize that much of what you already do fits into the standards of STREAM. Feel free to review the standards associated with the process to familiarize yourself with how easy it is to meet them.
In addition, as mentioned at the inservice, please review the 2020-21 calendar and bell schedules and let me know if you have any questions within the next week. We intend on pushing this information out to the Marian families and community by the beginning of March.
What's coming up?
It is so wonderful to see so many of our clubs engaging in service activities! The Business Club is collecting items for our Marines in room 146 and the Key Club is collecting personal items to prepare for the Marian Cares Event held in Landers Pavilion and the Athletic Commons on the morning of Saturday, February 22 as they provide food and supplies to the needy of our community. In addition, the FOR Club is working on a project to help us remember those close to us who have passed. Thank you for encouraging these clubs and supporting their efforts.
The rest of this short week will be relatively quiet. Enjoy your students and the uninterrupted, productive instructional time.
Have a good week!
