Classroom Culture Observations
The leadership team's observation focus for November was Classroom Culture. The data gathered revealed:
- 93% of the classrooms demonstrated established routines
- 95% of the classrooms demonstrated respectful communication - student to student
- 90% of the classrooms demonstrated respectful communication - teacher to student
- 93% of the classrooms demonstrated respectful communication - student to teacher
- 90% of the classrooms demonstrated organization of students and materials
As we near the Winter Holiday, it is important to continue to focus on routines and expectations. Some ideas to assist with this are:
- Use One Liners when correcting students, this keeps the emotion out of the correction.
- Review classroom routines and expectations often
- use CHAMPS
- recognize and praise students that are doing the right thing
