May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Weekend! I shared morning messages last week, and I know teachers implemented social studies lessons focusing on the purpose behind this holiday. I know it's easy to just enjoy the swimming and barbecuing and forget that we are setting aside the time to honor those who've paid the ultimate price while serving in our military.

With just 5 school days left, I want to encourage you to make every day count. With so many days out of school this year due to quarantine regulations, distance learning barriers, and minimum days, we will be making use of every single day to keep learning. We will, of course, have some end-of-year celebrations in classrooms and as you'll read below, we will have a version of our Sports Day on Friday, June 4th, but I encourage you to finish strong and keep coming to school prepared to learn through the end.

I hope you were able to take some time for "Virtual Open House" and look through your child's work and listen to them share what school was like for them this year. Fingers are crossed for a much more normal year for 21/22.

Enjoy the warm summer days and the lifted social distancing restrictions and stay healthy so we can be together again when school resumes on August 16th.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold

School Office

Our school office will be open from June 8th through June 11th, 7 am - 4 pm. We will close from June 14th through August 3rd and reopen on Wednesday, August 4th @ 7 am.

Call us at 224-4180 or come in with your questions. We are happy to help.

Sports Day

We are pleased that with some lifted restrictions we will be able to have a modified version of our traditional Sports Day this year. Friday, June 4th, classes will participate in a shortened, modified version of Sports Day. They will stay with their cohort and be able to complete 4 fun events outdoors. Please see your teacher's specific instructions, but in general, students should wear sunscreen, clothes that dry easily or a change of clothes, and shoes that can get wet but are still safe for running and playing (or a change of shoes). We start the first event at 8:00 am so be sure to be on time on Friday!
