Go Knights
Hello Knights! We had an amazing time at all of our awesome activities last week, and we hope you did too. Our first assembly of the year was a success! Our first dance of the year, the Welcome Back Dance, was also a blast. Both events were Clash of the Classes themed. Now, remember to keep that Knight spirit going throughout the entire year! Wear your class colors, and be proud of your grade! We have a brand new event! We’re had our very first Spikeball Tournament. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, it is played with two teams of two people each, with a circular net and a ball. It’s a super fun game to play with your friends, and it’s easy to learn! Our Spikeball Tournament was August 27th through 31st. The winning team of each bracket received a special prize! We hope you enjoyed this great event. See you next week Knights!
Girls' Volleyball Off to a Great Start
Foothill girls volleyball is off to a tremendous start! Taking home the ‘crown' in the highly competitive Queen’s Court tournament and had a very strong outing in the Dave Mohs OC tournament. Foothill GVB current rankings are as follows: National 115, CA 14, CA Division 1 13, Southern Section 11, SS Div.1 9. A special nod to Grace Cannon who was nominated for the Division 1 All-Tournament Team featuring some of the top teams in the nation. Congrats Girls and Go Knights!
Activities Around Campus
Hey Knights! We had our biggest football game of the year against the Tustin Tillers! We had a big pregame rally and tailgate! There was a taco cart, shirts and games! Then we faced off against our biggest rivals. To end the week, we had our first stag dance of the year. The Welcome Back Dance is also Clash of the Classes themed, so everyone wore their class color! This dance was a spectacular kick-off to an even better year! – Written By Ryane Thorne, ASB Publications Commissioner
College Season Begins
College Season has started. Colleges have already started visiting Foothill. We had University of Alabama and University of San Francisco. Students had the opportunity to meet with college representatives and ask questions. This is a great for students to learn more about different college campuses, majors available, scholarships, student life and more. This also gives the representative an opportunity to learn about the students and future applicants.
To see upcoming visits, students can log into Naviance and see who is coming to Foothill here: https://student.naviance.com/foothill . Their login information is the same as their Haiku login.
Can it be... a month of school has gone by?
Hey Knights! Last week we had lots of exciting things happening around campus, as we got ready for autumn, and as our first month of school came to an end! First, on Monday September 10th, we tunee into FTV to watch each Freshmen President Candidate’s Election Video! Freshmen, who will your new class president be? On Tuesday, September 11th, Freshmen Elections held in English Class! We can’t wait to see which Freshmen will be joining us on ASB this year, and it’s up to your vote! We’re back to football this week against Yorba Linda on Thursday, September 13th. This game is at Yorba Linda High School at 7 pm. Our last football game, we beat Beckman 30-6, so let’s keep it up! To close out the week, on Friday, September 14th, we had Club Rush. Club Rush is a giant festival at lunch where you can learn about all our different clubs on campus. You can buy food and drinks from different clubs, and sign up for them! Joining clubs is a great way to get involved on campus, and here at Foothill, we have tons of clubs for every student. You don’t want to miss it! Have a great week Knights!
