Whats the South Beach Diet?

The South Beach Diet is a diet plan designed by cardiologist and a dietitian as an alternative to low-fat diets such as the "Omish Diet" and the "Pritikin Diet" which has been advocated by the American Hear Association since 1980. The original point of the South Beach Diet was to prevent heart disease, but the word quickly got out as a diet to loose weight.

How it works.

This diet minimizes the consumption of bad fats and bad carbs and encourages increased consumption of good fats and good carbs.

If we take out of of these foods how would be get the proper nutrients? This diet i have no faith that it will work. We need our every day proteins, carbs, and sugars to function properly.
