2018 4-H T-shirts Are In!

4-H T-shirts are available for pick up at the Extension Office! Youth and adult sizes are available. These t-shirts will be the official show uniform for all 4-H events at county fair. Thanks to a generous donation from Flint Hills, each enrolled 4-H member (including Clover Kids) will receive one FREE 4-H shirt this year.

4-H Foodstand Sign Up

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! The 4-H Foodstand is a major fundraiser for the York County 4-H Program. The money raised will go directly to York County 4-H'ers through scholarships, workshop, and other learning experiences. It is expected that at least one person from every family work at least one shift. Please sign up NOW!!!!!

Camper Spots

County Fair camper spots are now available to reserve. The cost is $40. Payment must be received in order for your spot to be reserved. They are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

County Fair Pre-Entries Due July 6

4-H’ers bringing exhibit (including animals) to the fair must fill out and return PRE-ENTRY FORMS to the Extension Office by July 6!


Pre-entry forms and instructions were mailed to each family this week. Use the 2018 fair book to complete entry forms. An example is included on the form. Additional sheets are available on the 4-H page at york.unl.edu. If you have questions about filling them out, stop by the office or give us a call.

INTERVIEW TIMES for Static Exhibits

Static Exhibit Interviewing Judging is OPTIONAL! If a 4-H’er chooses to interview judge, there will be a limit of 2 interview items per project area each day. Interview times will only be available from 8:30 a.m. to Noon each day. If you would like your exhibits interviewed, stop at the Extension Office to make appointments. If you do not sign up for an appointment, we will assume that you are choosing not to interview.

There are a number of contests that all 4-H members are eligible to compete in before and during the York County Fair. For more information about these contests, check out the June newsletter. Contest guidelines and schedules can also be found in the fair book.
