Chemical Changes

A chemical change is an irreversible change involving the rearrangement of the atoms of one or more substances and a change in their chemical properties or composition, resulting in the formation of one new substance.

A physical change is a change in which no new substances are formed. Physical changes affect the form of a chemical substance, but not its chemical composition.
