PK-2 Activity: Discuss things that make us feel stressed and worried. Have students draw a picture of their biggest stressor, acknowledge it and let them rip it up.
3-5 Acitivity: Discuss things that make us feel stressed and worried. Have your students write down their biggest stressor, rip it up, and throw it away. This emotional check-in takes about three minutes. By acknowledging how your students are feeling at the start of each class, you’ll acknowledge their barriers to learning and create a safe space for your students to overcome them.
