BUSY WEEK AHEAD!
We have a busy week coming up! Because it is the end of the 1st nine weeks, we have some assessing that needs to get done. We will be reaching out to you to set up a time for a virtual assessment and a face-to-face assessment.
We will use Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to assess for report cards via ZOOM. (More info to come). Thursday and Friday afternoon, we will be asking some students to come in to take the same computer test they took a few weeks ago. We are looking for growth. Teachers will be calling and messaging parents shortly.
For the upcoming week, we will be learning all about the letter Ss. We will talk about plurals with s on the end, words than end in -ss, and Sleepy Sammy, who makes the /z/ sound instead of /s/ is words. We will read books that show a connection between the characters and settings. For math, we will be working on creating number pairs for numbers 6 and 7. (Please make sure you have picked up the math sheets from last week!) For Science, we will talk about trees and Autumn. It should be great fun!
As always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy your weekend! Talk to you soon!
