Mott News
10/16
from the principal
We have so many things to celebrate!
- We completed a very successful third first week of school! Students are doing a great job with both in person and virtual learning! By the 3rd day, our in person dismissal procedures had improved so much that students could stay in the classroom longer for instruction before leaving for the day!
- Our Boosterthon fundraiser made over $17,000! Thank you to all the families that participated. That money will go toward student incentives and technology.
- District leaders conducted a safety walk today, and said that Mott students and staff were doing a wonderful job in following all district safety procedures and expectations!
- We have a PTO General meeting next week! We love our PTO! We encourage parents to become a part of this great organization. See the meeting information below.
- We are finding ways to continue Mott traditions in a COVID changed school setting! See the information below about our annual Literary Pumpkin Decorating Event!
I am so proud of how our community continues to work as a team to support our Mott Owls!

You can use any materials to decorate your real or FAKE pumpkin: paint, clay, fabric, etc.
This year you can even carve it if you’d like! (none will be brought to school- photo submissions only)

IN-PERSON LEARNING INFORMATION.
Dismissal and Early Pick Up
If you pick up your child in the car rider line, please keep you sign in the window until we put your child in the car.
If you have to pick up your child early for an appointment, we ask that you do that no later than 2:15 to prevent interference with dismissal procedures.
Arrival Tip
When you drop off your child, make sure that he/she is ready before you pull up to the curb.
Backpack is ready, mask is on, goodbyes are said, and all belongings are accounted for
WHAT YOUR STUDENT NEEDS TO BRING TO SCHOOL
Water fountains are not available for student use. We do have water bottle filling stations, and will provide cups if a child does not have a water bottle.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Crayons, pencils, markers, scissors, paper, folders, spirals, etc. There will not be any communal supplies. Helpful but not required items: individual pencil sharpeners, and personal hand sanitizer.
EXTRA MASK
Things happen! It is helpful for your child to have an extra mask in their backpack for unforeseen circumstances.
*Please do not bring your own wipes. We need to use the district provided wipes which are compatible with the other cleaning products currently used.
