DUE TODAY: 8th grade baby pictures!
Every year the 8th Grade students can submit a baby picture to be included in the school yearbook. If your 8th grader would like their picture included in this year's yearbook, please send a digital copy of the baby picture to yearbook@mhlt.org by Friday, February 28. Pictures submitted after this date may not be included. If you do not have a digital copy of a baby picture, simply take a picture of the photo and email it. Please email yearbook@mhlt.org with questions.

For 8th grade parents & students
The Super Art Trip is coming up! The Super Art Trip is an overnight trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The dates are set for April 30-May 1. This trip is for any serious artist in 8th grade. On the trip they will visit multiple art museums and learn about new arts and cultures. This amazing opportunity is open to ANY 8th grade student, but you must apply. Applications are available outside of the art room and are due to Miss Christianson no later than Friday, March 6. Students must answer the application questions typed on a separate piece of paper and make an art project that incorporates and presents their answers and desire to attend. Please see Miss Christianson with any questions or clarifications.

Lakeland Girls' Softball
The Lakeland Youth Program invites all interested youth ages 8 to 14 (as of 1/1/20) to sign up for summer softball. Practices will begin once the snow melts and fields are dry, usually around the end of April to beginning of May. Games begin towards the end of May and conclude in mid-July. Deadline to register your daughter is March 1, 2020
WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY? A glove, face mask, black softball pants (for some), and a great attitude! Cleats are recommended for 12U and 14U; optional for 10U. Personal helmets are optional. Equipment provided includes: helmets, bats, balls, jerseys, and softball pants for 10U and limited availability for 12U. Cost is $75 per player plus a volunteer commitment

2020 Baseball Registration NOW OPEN
The Lakeland Area Baseball Association has opened registration for the 2020 summer season. Breakdown of divisions will consist of those listed below.
— 5 to 6 year olds TBALL
— 7 to 8 year olds PLAYER/COACH PITCH
— 9 to 10 year olds MINORS
— 11 to 12 year olds MAJORS
All division assignments will be determined by the child's age on April 1, 2020 date. Anyone requesting to play in a different division must petition the Lakeland Area Baseball Association board of directors to do so.
