Predicting the Future: Banking in an Age of Uncertainty with Paul Taylor
Please join guest lecturer, Paul Taylor from Bank of America for a speaker session on Predicting the Future; Banking in an Age of Uncertainty.
Paul Taylor is head of Global Financial Institution (FI) Sales for Global Transaction Services (GTS) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this role, he leads the team responsible for selling the full breadth of BAMS GTS products to FI clients across the globe, including cash management, working capital management and treasury services. Paul also co-chairs the employee satisfaction council within GTS.
Paul joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in January 2010 and prior to his current role, he led GTS’ sales strategy and initiatives team. Other positions held within the bank include global head of Corporate Sales for GTS and head of Sales for GTS EMEA.
Prior to joining the bank, Paul worked for VocaLink where he was managing director for Europe, responsible for the company's European strategy, sales and industry relations. He was also previously a strategy consultant at Deloitte where he worked in the Financial Services practice.

You'll also walk away knowing what to look out for and how to be most successful.
PACI 2019 - Opportunities in Asia: Internships and Grad Schemes
The Pan-Asian Careers Initiative is proud to announce the PACI 2019 'Opportunities in Asia: Internships and Grad Schemes' event at 7pm on the 12th of November.
This year, we are excited to feature a panel who have worked in across Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China at Deloitte (Consulting), HSBC (Private banking), Redress (Fashion), Ethis (Islamic Finance), HuaTai Securities (Finance), and Kajima Corp. (Construction).
Each speaker will elaborate on their role at the company, the cultural nuances of working in Asia, and will provide specific recommendations and based on their experience of the application processes will provide suggestions on how to best approach securing internships. In addition, we will have a representative from the career centre elaborate on how to utilize the resources they provide to maximize your success!

Art History Postgraduate Application Workshop
Join the School of Art History for this informative Postgraduate Application workshop. There will be a presentation by Miguel Rodriguez from the Careers Centre on whether postgraduate study is right for you, how to find programmes, and how to draft your personal statements and CVs. Following this, there will be presentations from students on the MLitt Museum and Gallery Studies, MLitt Art History, and PhD programmes!
Life in the TV and Film Industries
Join double Emmy Award-winning VEEP Executive Producer Chris Godsick to hear about his life in TV and film, what it takes to start and build a career in the industry, and how TV and film are changing in the era of streaming.
Best known for his role helping to create VEEP, one of the 21st Century’s most critically and publicly-acclaimed comedy series, Chris started out as an agent before becoming a producer on films including Broken Arrow and Face/Off.
A member of the original production team on VEEP, he recently returned to movie-making with an Executive Producer credit on Shazam! Following his talk Chris will be taking questions, and he may even solve the mystery of what an Executive Producer actually does…

This event is run by the Economics Society and St Andrews Management Society. The event is free for people who are members of either St Andrews Economics Society or St Andrews Management society. Otherwise, the event costs £3 to attend.
