Welcome to Clear Fork Remote Learning!

My name is Anitra Van Horn and I am the Clear Fork Remote Learning Coordinator. Below you will find information on our outstanding remote teachers as well as information on the remote learning program. Myself along with the Clear Fork Remote Learning Team are very excited to begin this new learning experience with you!

Ms. Van Horn - Remote Learning Coordinator

Hello! I am Anitra Van Horn and this is my 14th year at Clear Fork. I am a Morrow County native, but the Valley has become my second home. During my 14 years at Clear Fork I have taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, Title I Reading and Reading Recovery. Upon receiving my administration degree, I have served the district as Testing and Curriculum Coordinator for the last two years. I have three children and spend most of my time attending all of their extracurricular activities and sporting events. We enjoy camping and riding bikes as a family as well as spending time by the water and playing with our 2 Chocolate Labs. Device and Materials Pick Up

Remote Learners will be following the same device pick up schedule as the in person learners. Please pick up your assigned device and materials at your child's building of record. For example, if your child is a Butler student, you will go to Butler Elementary to pick up your child's remote learning materials. If your child is a Bellville student the process will work the same way. Simply state the child's name and remote teacher's name and those materials will be given to you. Bellville students can pick up materials/devices on August 26th from 12-6 and August 28th from 9-3. Butler students can pick up materials/devices on August 27th and 28th from 8-6.

Attendance and Assignment Policy

Assignments for remote learners will be posted on each teacher's Google Classroom page by 8:00 am every Monday and Wednesday. The assignments given on Monday will be due Wednesday by 6:00 pm and the assignments posted on Wednesday will be due Sunday at 6:00 pm. Attendance for remote learners will be taken based on completion and submission of assignments by the required due date. Example...Assignments submitted on Wednesday will fulfill Monday and Tuesday's attendance requirements. Assignments submitted on Sunday will fulfill Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's attendance requirements. If assignments are not submitted on time, students may be marked as absent during that assignment period. If a student is unable to complete a days worth of remote learning assignments due to illness, the school of record (Bellville or Butler Elementary) must be contacted and that student will be marked absent for the day. Students that have been marked absent by the school secretary will then be granted an additional day to complete the required remote learning assignments. Notes/Dr. Excuses for absences can be emailed, faxed or dropped off at Butler or Bellville Elementary. Excuses for Butler students can be sent to wilsons@clearfork.k12.oh.us. Excuses for Bellville students can be sent to baileyc@clearfork.k12.oh.us.
