The Holidays Are Near

Check your student's progress...

Please verify your student's status in the course.

Please take the time to look through your student's grades in the course. There is a link to grades in the Administration block in the left sidebar of their course. We are finishing Unidad 8 this week - They should have grades in all cells except for possibly 4 items (Final Exam RLC, Final Reflection on eLinguafolio, Final Exam and the Final Project). I have been grading everyday and returning their work each day except for some voice boards. So I am working hard to keep current on the students' work being submitted.

Important dates....

Next week (December 14-18) is an open week for students to get caught up before the holiday break begins. However, they actually have the break to work if they need the time - many of them do! The final cutoff date for Unidad 5-8 work is January 1, 2016, Friday, at midnight. After that the only work that remains will be the final RLC (Required Live Class), Final Exam (test) and Final Project. Each portion of the Final is worth 12.5% of their overall average. So there is a lot riding on these two submissions. The final RLC, final exam and project are due 1/8/16 by midnight.

Remind them that there are no outside resources allowed (dictionaries, online translators, Spanish-speakers or people who know some Spanish). If they have questions they should be contacting me - I am their best resource and I am an allowed resource :-)!!!

Please feel free to contact me about any questions you have! My contact information is below.

Happy Holidays to you and yours...

It has been a pleasure and an honor working with the students in Spanish 1 Sections 1, 3 and 5 this fall semester. I am proud that they have worked hard and learned much Spanish. Spanish 1 is the building block for the rest of their foreign language studies. I have tried hard to do my best by them. Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope you have a joyous time with family and friends and return home safely from any traveling you will do.

¡¡¡Feliz Navidad y Próspero Año Nuevo!!!
