Principal's Welcome Message
"Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life."
Dear Parents and Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome your family to Bermudian Springs Elementary School for the Year of Friendship! It is my hope that your child will have a rewarding and inspirational experience filled with appropriate academic challenges and inquiry. As students grow and learn together, I look forward to watching lifelong friendships develop and thrive!
As we embark on the Year of Friendship, I want to focus on relationships within the building and with our community. I invite you to be part of our school community by volunteering, attending PTO meetings, and reaching out to your child’s teacher when you have a question or need clarification. You are a critical part of your child’s success. When we work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve. The Year of Friendship will provide many opportunities to build a strong home and school partnership with each family in the building.
My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me throughout the school year. Together, we will continue to strengthen our home and school partnership to support students in meeting their goals, being their best selves, and having an unforgettable school year!
Learn Together, Grow Together!

A NEW FACE AT BSES
Hello Bermudian Springs Eagles! My name is Mrs. Ross, and I am very excited for my role as the district’s Speech-Language Therapist. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada before moving to the state of Pennsylvania when I was 12 years old. I have lived all over this state (including the Philadelphia area, Harrisburg, and Mechanicsburg) before finally settling in East Berlinn when I got married.
I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University (Go Huskies!) where I received both my Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees in the area of Speech-Language Pathology. Throughout my career, I have worked as a Speech-Language Therapist in both the medical and educational settings, but my heart has always been in working in the schools.
My family includes my husband, my son Dean (who is a 6 th grader at the middle school this year) and my daughter Diya (who is a 1st grader at the elementary school this year). And of course, I can’t forget my two fur babies – Chester (our 12-year-old black lab) and Oliver (our 2-year-old chocolate lab), who are just as crazy as they are lovable! Our family enjoys activities such as going to amusement parks, playing in the pool, movie nights, and game nights.
I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful district, and I am looking forward to working with my new students and families. It’s going to be a great year!

SAFETY AND SECURITY - VISITORS AND VOLUNTEERS
We are excited to share that we will be allowing parent visitors and volunteers this school year! Please follow the below procedures, including communicating with the office and teachers when planning to visit. Unplanned visits will not be accommodated. If you have previously volunteered, your clearances and/or driver's license may have expired. It is imperative that all clearances and driver's licenses are up-to-date and on file. Thank you for your cooperation!
BUILDING ENTRY - To ensure order in the school and to protect the safety and security of students and staff members, all visitors and volunteers entering our school will be required to scan a driver’s license before gaining access past the main office. A photo ID visitor badge will be issued and must be visible at all times during the visit. When visitors/volunteers leave the building, they will be required to return the ID badge to the main office to be scanned out of the building. Volunteers who are new to the district are required to complete a Volunteer Disclosure Sheet, have a TB test done, and pass state-mandated background checks. Clearances can be obtained through our website or in the elementary school office.
SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS – All visitors expecting to meet with a teacher, staff member, or administrator are to have scheduled appointments. Appointments may be scheduled during a teacher’s planning time, before or after school, or at a mutually convenient time.
IMPORTANT REMINDER – For safety reasons, please do not allow another person in the building. They should buzz the door and be let in by one of our school administrative assistants.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) - (13 and under only)
