Summer Scene
Dear Framingham Families,
Keeping students safe yet engaged for the summer, has led to the decision to make Summer Scene fully remote. Instead of in-person programming the Office of Community Resource Development has designed a complete kit based “do-it-yourself” program. This program is designed for families to move through at their own pace, with minimal screen time, and is suitable for the whole family.
Each two-week session is based around the contents of a resource kit. Your registration covers the cost of materials and additional services provided during that time. Each kit is designed for one child and contains all of the curriculum and most of the materials you need to do any of the 25+ activities included. Families who register will need to pick up their kit the week prior to the start of the session. Kits cost $50 each.
In addition to the activities included in the kit, there are three optional live guided sessions a week that you can choose to join. Those will occur Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and vary in length from thirty minutes to an hour. Each live session will also be recorded and available to you as a video on demand. In addition our staff is available throughout the week on request for smaller group hangouts, and additional help.
The program runs through July in two-week increments and is designed for rising 1st through 5th Grade students.
Sessions
July 6th to July 17th
July 20th to July 31st
More information on what is in each kit, sample activities, and registration is available on our website at www.fpscrd.org.
We are looking forward to a great, albeit different, summer program this year.
Sincerely
The Office of Community Resource Development
