Support Your Timberwolf: Envelope Drive!
What is Support Your Timberwolf? A great opportunity to support our children’s education. No selling! 100% of the money goes to Tiffany Ridge! Our Students have participated in a Dance-A-Thon in the fall and will enjoy a Fun Run in the spring. Now, we are having an Envelope Drive, in which your students are raising money to purchase new playground equipment and to fund teacher grant requests for classroom projects. Park Hill funds are only available to cover a portion of the cost for these items. This fundraiser will allow 100% of the money raised to be used for our students.
What is your money used for? The money will be used towards playground equipment and teacher grants to fund classroom projects for your students. Park Hill School District will be matching our funds to replace the older playground equipment! Funds raised will determine the extent of the new equipment to be purchased!
How can you help? A $20 suggested donation amount per child will help us reach our goals, however any amount you feel comfortable donating would be appreciated. All donations benefit Tiffany Ridge students!
Our goal is to have 100% participation, with at least ONE pledge per student!
The classroom that raises the most pledge money will earn a special celebration!
Now What? Please fill out and return the form inside of the envelope that your student brings home. If writing a check, make it out to “Tiffany Ridge” and include “donation” in the memo line. If you are donating online please return the form to school and make a note that you are using the online link. Donation Due Date: Friday, February 26, 2021
Online Donation Link: If you would like to make your donation online, use the link provided HERE. Scroll down to the "Support Your Timberwolf" section.

Highlighting our Pack Point Winners
At Tiffany Ridge, we use PACK Points to celebrate students who are meeting our four core expectations- Be A Problem Solver, Act Resonsibly, Care for Everyone, Keep Safe. When staff see students doing these things, they are reinforced with verbal reinforcement and a "Pack Point".
Classroom teachers also have Pack Point Menus for students to select rewards of their choice in their classroom.
Calling ALL Parents!
Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time to start teaching about CAREERS! Unfortunately, we can not have visitors in our school to tell us about their careers. I am looking for parents, friends, or family who are willing to record a short video telling about their career, the educational requirements, and some other general information. Ideally, we will have several volunteers from each Career Path, so students see a wide variety of career options. We will show the videos during April and May in the morning broadcast announcement and during counseling lessons. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer for this opportunity please contact me at the email below. I can set up a time to record with you (interview style) or accept pre-recorded videos.
Career Paths:
Arts & Communication (Creative Path)
Business Management & Technology (Business Path)
Natural Resources & Agriculture (Nature Path)
Human Services (Helping Path)
Industrial & Engineering Technology (Building & Fixing Path)
Health Services (Health Path)

Conflict Resolution
- S – Say the Problem WITHOUT Blame – if we can say the problem in a neutral way it helps keep it small. (We both want to play the video game, but there is only one controller.)
- T – Think of Solutions – they should all be safe and respectful – Think of several potential solutions at least three or more. (We flip a coin, we create a schedule, we play rock paper scissors to see who goes first, we each get 5 minutes)
- E- Explore Consequences – What could happen if we chose – Go through each solution and ask what would happen if we chose this one. (coin flip – we would agree and one would play and the other be patient, create a schedule – we would know each day whose turn it is, but if I wasn’t here on my day I would be upset.)
- P – Pick the Best Solution and make your plan – The BEST solution is one that BOTH parties agree to. Ideally there is a compromise involved, but most of the time they pick solutions that have a compromise and don’t even realize it!
Students at Tiffany Ridge have been learning about conflict resolution in Counselor Lessons this month. Our Second Step curriculum uses the “Problem Solving Steps” to teach them how to walk through the process and compromise to reach a solution to the conflict. Students now know that the first thing BEFORE resolving any conflict is that everyone must be CALM. They have learned 4 Conscious Discipline breathing strategies to help them to calm down before they begin to try to resolve conflicts. S.T.A.R, Pretzel, Balloon, and Drain are the Breathing Strategies. Have them show you how to do them at home!
The Problem-Solving Steps are listed below. Ask your students to use these problem-solving steps at home, or practice using them for a dinner conversation. The more they use the STEPs the easier it will be for them to solve their own conflicts and problems.
Park Hill's SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention Program Virtual Information Night
This webinar occurs several times. Please register for the date and time that works best for you.
During this challenging year, we have been teaching students about mental wellness and how to seek help if they are worried about themselves or a friend. To help us do this, we are using a program called Signs of Suicide, or SOS.
Thousands of schools have used SOS, and studies show that it effectively teaches students about depression and suicide while reducing the number of students’ self-reported suicide attempts. Through the program, students learn about the signs of depression and suicide, that it is treatable, and how to ACT if they are concerned: Acknowledge, Care and Tell a trusted adult. We also help students identify whom they can turn to at school for help.
Please join us as we share with families how we are using SOS in our schools. We are offering four separate sessions for parents and guardians: 6 to 7 p.m. on February 16, 23, 25 and March 4. Pick a session from the drop-down box. After you register, we will send you a confirmation email with information about joining the webinar.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
