Keeping Your Children Safe
With Walk To School Day coming up, we need to recognize that this is a good opportunity for us to review safety rules with our children. Please take some time to review the safety rules of walking to school. Also, develop a family plan for emergencies. Decide on a mutual meeting place and contact person that children and adults can count on, should your regular routines be interrupted.
Walking to School or to the Bus Stop:
As a parent you should
- Know the routes your children take
- Instruct children to travel with others
- Tell your children to stay away from strangers, and strange vehicles
Periodically review general pedestrian safety rules such as:
- Walk on sidewalks
- if there are no sidewalks, walk in single file on the side of the road
- Cross the street at intersections only
- Follow instructions of school crossing guards.
Kindergarten Registration for 2016-17 Begins Soon!
Start making your reservation for the 2016-17 Kindergarten registration now to reserve your child's spot in the desired AM or PM session for next year. Registration begins on October 26.
For Kindergarten registration information and paperwork, please check out the CBSD website.
Volunteer Clearances - Update
Volunteers must have their clearances on file with the CBSD Human Resources Department prior to starting volunteer work. The new Pennsylvania State mandate does allow until July 1, 2016 to obtain background checks. However, in the best interest of the safety and security of our students, we are asking volunteers to comply with submitting background checks prior to volunteering in the 2015-2016 school year.

If you have already submitted paperwork you do not need to take any further action at this time.
This online process is ONLY for those who have not submitted clearances/certifications as of October 1, 2015.
Celebrate Education Week
This year, we invite you to join us during the week of October 12– 16, 2015 to celebrate education.
Please know that you are welcome any time this week, but to maximize on our parking, you will find below the visitation schedule for your child’s grade level. Teachers will follow their normal schedule and routines of teaching lessons and engaging students. Please take this opportunity to share a reading lesson, math lesson or art class with your child. Observe how our teachers are integrating technology into the learning process.
Please sign in at our courtesy desk in the lobby. At the end of your visit, please write your thoughts about your experience or the Doyle community on our Celebrate Education Bulletin Board. Out of respect for our students, teachers, and the learning process, we ask that parents not bring younger siblings into the classrooms.
We look forward to welcoming you to Doyle Elementary and sharing as partners in your child’s learning.

Title One Program
The Central Bucks School District is very proud of the highly qualified teachers who work with students each day. All of the teachers in your child’s school have met the requirements set by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to be considered highly qualified.
The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 gives parents of children who attend schools receiving Title 1 funding the right to request information about the qualifications of their child’s teacher. Your child’s school receives federal funding through the Title 1 program and information about the qualifications of your child’s teacher is available upon request.
In addition, if your child receives assistance in reading or mathematics through the Title 1 program, you may request verification that the Title 1 instructional assistant who works with your child meets the requirements to be highly qualified. All of our Title 1 instructional assistants have met these requirements.
Please contact me if you would like to receive information to verify the qualifications of your child’s teacher or Title 1 instructional assistant.

From Our 6th Grade Ambassadors
I want to teach (the new students) about the Doyle 5, Wing Tips and how to have grit. ...
I want to welcome new students. I was really nervous on my first day of school this year and I want to make new kids feel welcome. I think I will be a good ambassador because I follow the Doyle 5. I am respectful to others, responsible for my actions, I always cooperate whenever I am in a classroom, I work hard at my academics, and I show citizenship by helping others get what they need.
