This week was filled with Kindergarten Color Week, celebrating a special third grader on #LukeStrong Day, math and reading growth assessments in grades 3-5, and lots of meaningful learning!
September 12-October 4: MES FALL Virginia Diner and Chocolates SCHOOL FUNDRAISER! Our students are doing an AMAZING job of selling!!! All proceeds will go toward purchasing mulch for our playgrounds and projects that support our students' learning. If your child needs additional forms for Kung Fu critters and the stuffed hamster drawing, please let the office know!
The LAST day to order a fall school t-shirt is TOMORROW! Please see the information below!
Join us for Lunch!: We welcome family members to come and eat lunch with their children! Please send a note to the office to inform them that you will be having lunch and also let them know if you plan to buy lunch from the cafeteria ($3.75). When enjoying lunch with your child, you may invite ONE other student from the same class to have lunch with your child. We have two tables set up in the cafeteria and picnic tables out front on the lawn!
Please make sure you have followed our MES School Facebook Page! The link is below and is also included further down in this newsletter!

MES Fall T-Shirt Sales!
Library/Media Center News from Ms. Breeden!
Parents, did you know that there is a way that you can help your child put books on hold at our library from home? There is also a way that you can see what books your child currently has checked out and what they’ve checked out in the past. Please click on the video link below and watch the Destiny Discover Tutorial to see how you can do that!
Please be sure to check out our MES Library Website!
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me!
