Boys Basketball

On Friday, 12/4, the Freshmen played North Platte in the 3rd place game of the Lawson Freshmen Tournament and got a hard fought 42-35 win. On Saturday, 12/5, the Varsity played North Platte in the opening round of the KCI Tournament. The boys were able to jump out to an early lead and continued to build it, getting a 55-34 win. On Tuesday, the Varsity played East Buch in the Semifinals of the KCI Tournament. The Cards couldn't get going until it was too late, losing to the Bulldogs 47-39. The Varsity will play in the 3rd Place game of the KCI Tournament tomorrow (12/11) night at 5 pm against Lathrop

Girls Basketball

On Friday, 12/4, the Freshmen played Cameron in the Championship of the Lawson Freshmen Tournament. The girls were able to build off an early lead and grab the win and the championship. On Saturday, 12/5, the Varsity played Lathrop in the opening round of the KCI Tournament. The game was back and forth throughout, Unfortunately, thegirls came up a little short losing to the Lady Mules 43-37. On Monday, 12/7, the Varsity played Hamilton in the Consolation Semi-Finals. The Lady Cards rolled to a 47-26 win. The Lady Cards will be in the consolation championship game versus West Platte on Friday at 5 pm in Hamilton.

Wrestling

On Saturday, 12/5, the wrestlers opened up their season at Marceline for the Marceline Tournament. It was a good opening day of wrestling for the boys. Results:

On Tuesday,12/8 the Varsity and JV traveled to Brookfield with a triangular with Cameron. Results were:

Lawson 54 Brookfield 15

Lawson 27 Cameron 47

All-District Football Honors

Max Ross, Cody Glenn,Adrean Eskew,Larry Richardson, and Austin Nye. Also congrats to Austin Nye for receiving 3rd Team All-State honors!

All-State Band

On Saturday, 12/5, members of the Lawson Band traveled to Columbia to audition for State band. Congrats to Kylie Teter and Sam Moore on their hard work! Results:

Kylie Teter- 2nd chair All-State Band (6th overall)

Sam Moore- 1st chair Percussion Option 2 All-State Band (1st overall)
