Woodward Academy - October Update
TEACHER APPRECATION LUNCHEON OCTOBER 14
Family BBQ Tailgate - October 23! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT!
On Friday, Oct. 23, Middle School students have a Fall Social after school on the Middle School campus. After the social, students will be escorted to the Lower School Cafeteria & Courtyard at 6:00 pm to join their parents and family for a tailgate. Low Country Barbeque will provide delicious BBQ, Hot Dog and Vegetarian options. After dinner, we will cheer on the War Eagle Varsity Football team as they take on Sandy Creek! Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
We hope you can come enjoy the fun!
- If you are unable to attend, please make arrangements for your child to leave Middle School by 6:00pm.
- All Middle School Students must be accompanied by an adult at the BBQ and Varsity Football Game.
- Don't forget your Parent Athletic Pass! It can be found in Haiku. If you need help, please contact helpdesk@woodward.edu or waparentcommunity@gmail.com.
- Reservation Deadline is Thursday, October 15.
- Advance order is required for this event. No walk up meals will be available.
- This event is indoors, so it will take place rain or shine. (We are sorry that no refunds can be offered).

Meals are $12.95 each. All Meals (BBQ (pork or chicken), hot dog, roasted veg. sandwich) include choice of Iced Tea, Lemonade, or Water and come with baked beans, southern coleslaw, chips & cookies.

Drink Table (4 needed)
Line Servers - choose from 2 different shifts (7 people needed each shift)

“Executive Functioning” Managing Complex Children

Carol Matheson, Ph.D, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Matheson specializes in working with children and adolescents targeting ADHD, behavioral issues, anger management, depression, and anxiety. She also offers psychological evaluations addressing possible ADHD, learning disabilities, processing deficits, dyslexia, or emotional/behavioral issues. She provides individual counseling, parent coaching, and psychological evaluations. She also works with schools in terms of observations or consultation.
She has worked with children and adolescents for over 20 years in hospital, private practice, and public/private school settings.
