11/30/2018 Your Weekly Update for Mayfield Intermediate

International Night

Thank you to Ms. McAteer for organizing our school's International Night. We also had several staff volunteers, parents, students, and student volunteers from Osbourn High School who helped make this a memorable night for everyone who attended. Together our community celebrated with food, dance, singing, art, and literature. The food was delicious. The performances were entertaining. The community engagement was amazing.

It was a great night and another example of why I'm so proud to be part of this wonderful Mayfield community.

Afternoon Student Pick Up

Parents, this is a reminder to all parents/guardians who pick up their child in the afternoon. Please form 1 single lane in the loop in the front of the school. Do not form 2 lanes because it ends up blocking traffic and not allowing people drive around the loop in the front of the school.

Interim Reports are Coming December 7th

We are mid way through the second quarter of school. That means that interim reports will be going home with students next week. This is a great time to talk with your child and review how they are doing and make adjustments where needed. If you have any concerns, make sure to set up a time to meet with your child's teacher.

Instructional Focus: i-Ready

i-Ready is an online intervention and instruction program that we have implemented for all students within Mayfield Intermediate School. i-Ready provides research-based, classroom-proven programs that help educators effectively address the diverse needs of every student.

We have i-Ready for math and reading. Students should be completing at least 45 minutes of i-Ready lessons per week. Students can also work on their i-Ready lessons at home. If you are looking for some extra support for helping your child at home, have them log in to their i-Ready account.
