Example of thypes of Biomass
Did you know that back in the old days, caveman use biomass? Do you what type they use? Caveman use wood for fire which is a type of biomass.
Where do Bimass comes from?
We extract organic materials like energy landfills and wood to convert it into energy. There are many process on which a organic material is able to produce gas.
Do we use it in Maryland?
Yes, we do and did you know that biomass is our second largest renewable energy source we use. From biodiesel to your fireplace they are all biomass. Ethanol is a fuel that is use for car made our of corn and sugar.
What are the Pros and Cons of Biomass Energy?
Pros: Renewable source, waste products that we don't need can be convert into biomass energy, use in many form like heat, and it is carbon neutral.
Cons: It can be expensive in some cases require space, and can lead to deforestation.
Are Biomass Energy expensive?
They are expensive in some areas that don't have a want for Biomass energy but with places that have an abundance of types of biomass is very cheap.
