For those students going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, they can kill two birds with one stone. Encourage them to use the Battle of the Books books to use for their public library coupon book!

Fairfax County Public Library

June 23 - September 2

Get ready to enjoy "Read by Design" during the 2017 Summer Reading Challenge at the Fairfax County Public Library. You will be able to register online or in person at your local library beginning June 23.

Preschoolers through high schoolers earn a coupon book with great prizes including free and discounted items by completing their reading and going to their local library branch by September 3.

Activities are planned for families, preschoolers, school-age youngsters, teens and adults throughout the summer. Search our calendar of events or pick up a printed copy of the summer calendar at your local branch.

Come back on June 23 to register and learn all the details. Read for fun this summer!

Step 2. Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store. Find a Store.

Six Flags Read to Success

Read to Succeed is an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Students who complete six hours of recreational reading earn a free ticket to Six Flags! The program is available to teachers and schools at no cost to participate, and it's a great way to motivate kids to read.

Read 10 books this summer

Print out the Summer Reading Form

Write down the names of the books read on the form

Take the form to the nearest TD Bank

Receive $10 in a new or existing TD Simple Savings account
