Just a reminder for families of 4th and 5th graders that state testing starts this week.

4th grade will be testing Tuesday through Friday and 5th will be testing Monday through Thursday.

Both grade levels will be testing for approximately 90 minutes each morning.

Families can help by making sure that kiddos are getting

a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast.

I wanted to send a big 'THANK YOU' to our PTA

for providing healthy snacks and mints for our students during testing.

The North Star Student Council may have started a new tradition!

They did a great job and thank you families and volunteers for your support.

What a great start on fundraising and planning for some exciting student-led events.

If you want to deposit lunch money with a credit card through your PowerSchool parent portal,

please remember that you will need to access the online version.

You can find that link on the www.KIBSD.org website, under the FAMILIES tab.

KIBSD does not support the PowerSchool App, so you won't be able to pay fees that way.

Even though some student info is viewable on the app,

it does not connect to our PowerSchool lunch or activity fee accounts.

We are also always happy to accept cash or checks for student lunch accounts in the office.

Call us @907-486-7500 if you have questions or need any help with parent portal access.

Start the process and be ready to help out at school.

Once background checks are approved, they are valid for three years.

Just email volunteer@kibsd.org and let them know that you would like to volunteer at North Star.

The Human Resources department will walk you through the rest.
