Essential Question: How can problem solving lead to new ideas?


This week we are focusing on Ask and Answer Questions Strategy, Cause and Effect, Metaphors, and the genre will be Informational Text: Biographies. We will also be working with sequence writing. Our stories for the week include "Mary Anderson's Great Invention", "All Aboard! Elijah McCoy's Steam Engine", and "Lighting the World."


Our vocabulary for the week: design, encouraged, examine, investigation, quality, simple, solution, and substitutes. Our selection vocabulary test will be Friday!

New Newsletter Form!

Hello Parents! We had a wonderful response to our newsletter. Mrs. Epps and I are collaborating daily so this will be for all of 3rd Grade. If your child is in Mrs. Epps' class and would like to also receive these in an email, please give your teacher your email. We will continue adding addresses to our list. As always, it will be posted on facebook. Thanks for all of your continued support through your child's learning.
