Community Partnerships

STEAM Careers and College Week

Throughout the past week Elsa England Leopards enjoyed the benefits of strong educational partnerships. Students learned "real-world" lessons from dozens of presenters who taught them about a variety of careers in engineering and other areas including law. A bus load of volunteers from 365 by Whole Foods helped students clean and prepare garden plots for planting, and they also assisted with circuit building and student project designs. McNeil High School Engineering students challenged our Leopards with hands-on activities requiring teamwork and creative solutions. Austin Community College set up an amazing rotation of STEM activities for our kindergarten classes. All in one week! This community rocks! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with our students.

LEOPARDS Focus for April: Service

Congratulations for being the top elementary school contributor for the Empty Bowls Celebration of Families food drive! The art teachers and the Elsa England Student Council led the initiative on our campus. Thank you Teachers and Sponsors, Angela Holcek, Stephanie Lara, Suzanne West, and Jennifer Shock. Thank you Parents for generously supporting our service projects.

Please join us for the Celebration of Families/Empty Bowls Festival at Cedar Ridge High School. Participate in the Parent Resource Fair and enjoy the performances. England Art Clubs have donated their hand-made pieces to sell, and the England Choir will be singing! All proceeds benefit the Round Rock Serving Center.

England Art Department

The 22nd Annual Elementary Art Exhibition was from March 28th through April 4th! Parents, students and teachers viewed artwork from all over the district at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center.

England Art Club participated in creating the mural at the new Dell Seton Medical Center. There will be a reveal of the mural on Saturday, April 8th. It begins at 1pm and ends at 4pm.

One of our students was selected as a finalist for "Artist of the Week" on Artsonia! Satya in 4th grade! Please visit the link below to vote for our student!
