Chula Vista High School - Home of Champions!
Week 31 April 10th - April 16th
Message from the Principal
Good evening Spartans,
I hope you had a great weekend. Our students were busy representing the Home of Champions through the Arts, Athletics and community service. It's amazing how many opportunities we have at Chula Vista High School for our students to participate in positive, productive and fun activities. This week will be full of excitement on the field, the court and the stage. I hope you have an opportunity to join us at the Home of Champions!
This week, our eleventh grade students will also begin taking the English portion of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). For the most part, students will be taking the exam in their regular English class, with their English teacher. Students must bring their fully charged laptops each day and we also recommend that they get a good night's sleep and have a healthy breakfast. We've included additional information and reminders below.
Looking forward to another great week at the Home of Champions!
Go Spartans!

Senior English Students Support Freedom Dogs
This Thursday, April 13th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Ms. Allison's Senior English class will be hosting a movie night in the PAC. Tickets will be on sale at the door, as this event is a fundraiser to support Freedom Dogs San Diego (https://www.freedomdogs.org). Our goal is to donate $1500.00 to this fantastic non-profit. We will be selling water bottles and MEChA will be selling snacks. Students presentation boards will also be on display to share the research they have done regarding this important issue.
The film is To Be of Service, a documentary about service members suffering from PTSD and the service dogs that help them heal and thrive after their tour of duty.
Spartan Athletics in the Community
