Digital citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use.

A positive digital presence is important because what you do online can follow you for the rest of you life.

An example of this is that when you give your application to someone the will do a back-round check on you and they can find any thing that had done on the internet.
