A Message from your Business Librarian
I created Start Here! to help College of Business students become familiar with what the University Library has to offer. It goes into detail regarding our outreach incentives, collection, tutorials, and amenities.
The guide titled Business Research FAQs branches out from the Library FAQ guide to address the needs of our business students. When designing this guide, I kept in mind specific questions from students, and their assignments I have learned about. The guide serves as a pathfinder to direct students to the variety of resources that are available.
The Management: Library Research Guide now has the tab labeled, Healthcare Service Administration. It includes several databases and books to help students in this area of study.
Another service I provide are library presentations. I design these presentations based on a student research project where I introduce the resources that will help in completing their assignment. I am happy to visit with your class or create on online tutorial. Just let me know how I can help.

Data Bites, Not Data Yikes!
Encourage your students to take a bite out of data with Director of Quantitative Reasoning, Dr. Kathryn Appenzeller Knowles, as she shares with them secrets on how to reason and analyze numerical information. Connecting the dots between numbers and decision making, individuals exhibit skills beneficial for various organizations, professions, and functions. They will learn how to evaluate and find better information to take the YIKES out of decisions.
In-person, Lunch & Learn workshops are co-sponsored with your University Library. Your students may join Is this reasonable?, Storytelling with Numbers, or both. The University Library will generate more details on our events page, social media, JagSync, campus televisions, and flyers. Tell your students to keep an eye out!

Library FAQ Guide: 24/7 Point of Need Library Support
This past year the library has been busy creating a self-service tool, Library FAQ Guide, to help students walk through some of the most commonly asked research and library questions. We know some students may not ask for help for a variety of reasons, so we wanted to create a tool to enable all of our students to be successful in their research. The content in Library FAQ is designed to be task-focused and allow students to drill down to just the piece of information they need.
Students can access the Library FAQ Guide through the library’s website on the main page. To get started, students select the box that most closely aligns with their needs on the Library FAQ home page. Let us know what you think about our Beta Library FAQ page and help us spread the word!
