A Note From Dr. Johnston

It has been an exciting week at NFHS! We have had several seasonal activities taking place over the next few days and into next week. Semester Exams will be administered next week in all classes.

The schedule for exams is posted below. Please encourage your son or daughter to prepare for the exams as they count 1/7 of the final average.

In appreciation of their hard work this term, we have decided to set aside the end of next week as some of our designated jeans days. Students will be able to wear jeans on Wednesday (12/17), Thursday (12/18) and Friday (12/19). As a reminder, Friday is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:15PM. Sack lunches will be available immediately after dismissal. Buses will run at 1:00PM.

I know that many of our students and staff have not been feeling their best this week. We hope that the weekend brings some much needed rest and recovery time.

Have a blessed weekend, and thank you for allowing us to serve the educational needs of your children.

After School Intervention

After School Intervention continued this week as a campus-wide support to assist our students that do not to meet the expectation of completing assignments to the best of their ability or on-time. These first two weeks have been a success: lots of student questions answered, classroom work completed, and many students on their way to experiencing academic success. We are excited to see how this programs grows as a support for both our teachers and our students.

Giving effort and meeting timelines are habits that can be developed. Please continue to encourage your student to strive to give their best effort and submit each assignment on or before the due date.

We appreciate your support as we challenge our students to set, raise, and achieve personal learning goals.
