Defiance County Safe Communities Coalition was created in 2016 to establish a partnership of individuals from law enforcement, local governments, schools, businesses, public health, and community organizations to collaborate; creating awareness and prevent deaths and injuries caused by traffic crashes.
Defiance County Safe Communities will hold a Click It or Ticket Kick Off event on Monday, May 22 in the morning at Fairview High School. Members of the coalition will conduct seat belt surveys during students arrival. Coalition members, including members of local law enforcement will then provide education to students regarding traffic safety initiatives.
Defiance County Safe Communities works to reduce the number of traffic related deaths and injuries in Defiance County through analysis of problem areas, promotion, and education of proper safety.
