REMINDER: NEED VOLUNTEERS For PACT (Parents and Children Together) Sign up below.
September 23rd –
K/1 Learning Lunch at 12-1pm (Portfolio Creation)
&
PACT (Parents and Children Together) at 1:45-3:15pm (Volunteers Needed Need more parents please (currently have 7 parents signed up, Would like 12 minimum) to be in the classroom with students. There are set of activities that parents will run through.

Volunteers Needed:
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: It’s that time again! Please choose and sign up for at least 2 or 3 events that you and your family can help with. I have all event information and sign-up sheets on our website under Volunteers Needed! Click Here!
Parent Participation Volunteer Hours (min 36/year per family)
Parents are required and encouraged to spend time contributing to their child's educational growth.
There are many opportunities to volunteer (even projects you can do at home)
The Optional program requires at least 36 hours of volunteer time which includes but not limited to:
Planning/coordinating/leading events, Thursday folder helper, Weekly table and lunch cart cleaner,
board game repair person, helping in the classroom, prepping materials, bulletin boards, classroom librarian,
book repair, play-dough maker, Campbell soup coordinator and mailer, Box top coordinator, wash items,

Need Volunteers! Parent Coordinators for Events
HELP COORDINATE OUR EVENTS - (Each event worth 26 Hours)
Each Event Needs a Volunteer Coordinator to help organize, plan, and delegate others to assist in making our events wonderful. Each event has a teacher assigned. SOPG Board is also there to assist. Please volunteer today! Below are the events that need coordinators:
- Fall Intensives: Coordinator to help Ms. Brittany as needed.
- Family Get Together - Potluck: Help Laura Ison with Coordinating and learn for next year.
- Art Intensive for art show - Help Mrs Genie as needed
- Susitna Winter Soup & Stew - Coordinator plan & Operate event with Mr Allen.
- Family Dance Night - Coordinator to help plan & Operate event with Ms. Jennifer
Spring Intensives: Coordinator to help Ms. Brittany as needed.
Spring Bike Trip & Picnic - Coordinator to help Mrs. Jennifer as needed.
SOPG Last Day of School BBQ: Assistant Coordinator to help Sara Crewdson plan and operate this event.

Volunteer Driver Form
If you are interested in ever driving for field trips anytime this year, please fill out the Volunteer Driver Form attach any documents needed and give to the Front Office at the school. The approval takes 2-4 weeks to process.

Pay your SOPG Dues/Fees for 2016/2017 School Year
All payments & Parent Participation Agreement Due NOW!! If you have not paid your dues you will be receiving a phone call, and a sent home note on your options on how to pay in the next couple of weeks. Pay through our PayPal Account. Go to our website, CLICK HERE, there is a link to make payment.
Please pay your dues in order to help your child and the program receive supplies needed and support the program activities.
If your family is having financial hardship, please be sure to contact your teacher or the SOPG Treasurer at susitnaoptional@gmail.com

Order your yearbooks anytime throughout the year! Contact the front desk for more information.

After February - $18
Pictures will be done by LifeTouch this year. If you would like to Volunteer to help on Picture Day October 18th - (Need 6 volunteers total) your pictures will be FREE, along with hours toward your required for optional program.
