The Henry-Keefer Placement Exam for Bishop Luers High School is presented each year to 8th grade students who are considering attending there. The top 10 scorers receive a credit toward tuition during their freshman year. This year, we are pleased to congratulate Ederson Galicia on achieving 6th place on the Exam!

New Freshman application process at Bishop Luers now open for all current 8th graders! Visit the Bishop Luers website: www.bishopluers.org. Click on the Admissions tab, then scroll down to the New Freshman button. The next page explains the process; click on the red “Application” button to set up an account in the Parent Portal and complete the new student application.

Please be aware that you are receiving emails from FACTS Tuition Management to alert you in advance that a tuition payment will be withdrawn from your account on the date you set. If you know that the money will not be available on that date, please call or email Ms. Corwin to let her know as soon as possible. With as much notice as possible, Ms. Corwin can adjust the payment date to avoid overdraft and service charges.

Parents and students are expected to make every effort to attend school and arrive on time. Absences for illness or injury, medical or dental appointments, a funeral, or other special circumstances will be excused when a parent has called the school office. However, each semester, after five excused absences without a medical note the student will be considered unexcused moving forward. Please provide the office with a doctor’s note whenever possible.

Carefully review the school calendar when making plans for family vacations. Individual teachers will decide on the appropriate time allowed for students to make up work after an excused absence.

If your child has had a fever, please remember to keep them home until they have been fever free for 24 hours. Also, please call or text, (260) 498-0977, the school office to report your child's absence.

QUICK REMINDERS TO HELP KEEP YOUR HOUSEHOLD HEALTHY:

* Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds

* Cover sneezes with your sleeve or a tissue

* Keep your children home if they are sick. A child with a fever of 100 degrees or above should stay at home. The school policy is that a child should be 24 hours fever free to return to school or have a note from the doctor.

*Don't share cups or eating utensils with people who are sick.

* Disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, banisters, and light switches.
