What is clinical depression?

Mood disorder causing a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.

Symptoms:

  • Depression
  • Weight gain/loss
  • Restless
  • Fatigue
  • Self harm
  • Desire to eat

Treatment:

  • Talk treatment
  • Medication- Citalopram, Paroxetine

Causes:

No one knows the cause but here are factors that may be involved:

  • Biological differences
  • Brain chemistry
  • Horomones

  • Go to counseling
  • If severe, stay at the psych ward
  • Participate in out patient treatment
