Sample Goals and Educator Plans
Here are two sample goals and corresponding educator plans for you to look at. I've included them on a Google Doc template that you can copy.
(1) Sample Student Learning Goal -- SEL Focus
This goal is one that is being used by some teachers in the high school this year. Lisa Mobley, the high school principal, shared it with me in case you would like to do something similar.
(2) Sample Professional Practice Goal -- Mathematics Focus, Increasing Productive Student Discourse
This goal is one that I wrote with my former math coaches for teachers who were working to increase productive student math talk in their classroom. If you are working on implementing a new instructional strategy in your classes and are interested in digitally recording and analyzing the effectiveness of the strategy, this goal can easily be adapted to meet your needs.

Gathering Teacher Feedback
Now that I have had the chance to meet everyone at the school, I would like to formally learn more about the KPMS community by gathering some information. There are two ways for faculty members to participate: (1) you can fill out an online feedback form or (2) you can come to a voluntary teacher focus group meeting. Please be aware that the four questions on the online form are the same questions that will be discussed at the focus group sessions.
The focus groups sessions will be in the Principal's conference room from 2:30-3:00 PM on the following days:
- Thursday, October 24; and
- Tuesday, November 5.
Thank you in advance for your help with this task. I hope to gather some information from parents and students in the coming weeks as well!
Sincerely,
Michelle
