Attention to Pompeii People!!
Warning Warning Read All About It
Mount Vesuvius is famous for the eruption that took place in 75 AD. This eruption pretty much took Pompeii off the grid, covering the city in black cloudy ash and smoke, which could not be stopped. Many people of Pompeii tried to take cover in basements and tried to get away on small boats, but only few survived the eruption to tell the gory details of this terrifying event.
The last eruption was in 75 AD, but the great Mount Vesuvius is still active!
The people of pompeii have lived here for many years with no eruptions
Mount Vesuvius is still active and very dangerous, but has not had any recent eruption

Mount Vesuvius, the biggest volcanoe on the island, is surrounded by a chain of smaller volcanoes known as the "companion volcanic arc". These miniature volcanoes have had more recent eruptions then Mount Vesuvius and are still very active this today
