Weekly Words from Wildwood #6
A glimpse into this week's happenings at your child's school
Fun Friday, September 16th, was DOT DAY! (:
Diego shared one of his dots with Mr. Mayi when he saw that he did not have one! Hawks care and share!

For the safety of our Lil Hawks and their families:
Do NOT drop off your littles in the left lane ~ ever! The left lane is for slow, careful passing ONLY. There was a close call last week because someone let their kiddos out on the left. Eek! No! We love our students too much for this risk!
Please remember not to park in the lot with the sign "Staff Parking Only" ~ near the TK/kindergarten playground area. Staff need those spots to get to class in a timely manner with their LOTS O' STUFF that they haul to work daily!
Our First Evacuation Drill Went Well! 7 1/2 minutes to evacuate and account for all Hawks on campus!
Recess basketball tournament happening for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders!!
T.K. at Wildwood is a happy place for developing character and becoming a friend!
It's Creativity Month at Wildwood ~ Clever September!

WE DID IT! Wildwood Elementary has been identified as a GOLD school by the PBIS Coalition!
What does PBIS mean and why does this award matter?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health.
When implemented with fidelity, PBIS improves social-emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. It is a way to create positive, predictable, equitable and safe learning environments where everyone thrives.
PBIS is an ongoing commitment to supporting students, educators, and families through systems change. When you implement PBIS well, as Wildwood Elementary has done, students experience improved behavioral, social, emotional, and academic outcomes! And this matters!
