Parr Patriot News
Home and School Connection, Week of April 13-17
A Note from Mrs. Buckels
Happy Easter from my family to yours. I hope you have had a wonderful Easter weekend with your family.
Thank you for all your patience and understanding during these uncertain times. Our staff appreciates all the work you are doing with your child at home. We know it is not always easy. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or myself with any concerns or questions.
Next week's work will be available on it's Learning on Monday morning. Don't forget to check out the other courses that your child has access to-PE, Art, Music, Library and our Parr page.
In this S'more, you will find videos for each day of the week with the morning announcements if you would like to start your student's day with these. You can access them from this S'more or from our Parr it's learning page. We will also have a Workout Wednesday video from Coach Henderson.
Don't forget our technology department has a helpline that is now available for any issues you may be having! The number is 281-284-0500. They are available M-F from 8:00-4:00.
Share some good news! A note from Mrs. Talley.
Hey Parr Patriots! We want to hear the positive that is happening in your home and in our Parr community right now! Do you have a story that captures the spirit of Parr? We'd love to share out on our social media (Facebook and Twitter) the great things that our Patriots (and former Patriots) are doing during this time of at-home learning.
Send Mrs. Talley (ctalley@ccisd.net) a video/ picture/ blurb about it (or you can post it to Facebook/ Twitter and tag us @ParrPatriots) and let's spread some good news! Some examples we've heard so far include students helping sew masks, teaching virtual dance lessons, making cards for healthcare heroes.
We are looking forward to when we are back together again!
Yearbook Information
Parr Patriots - we miss you and can't wait to see you back at school! In the meantime, we want you to know that we have been hard at work to make an amazing yearbook packed with all the awesome things that we have done this year!
We have extended the deadline for 2 more weeks - during this time you can still purchase your yearbook, make customized pages (it comes with 2 free pages and more can be added at 2 pages for $0.99) and 5th grade parents you can still do your 5th grader's dedication! The extended deadline is APRIL 16TH!
Please see the attachments below for step by step instructions for setting up your pages. Treering has a cool feature where all your friends, classmates and teachers can digitally sign your yearbook! You can request for their signature and it gets added to your custom pages!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Yearbook Chair, Denise Roberts at yearbook@parrpta.org. You can also contact her via Facebook messenger at Denise Insall Roberts.
Thank you and Go Patriots!
Remember-the new due date is April 16th-the flyer's say April 2nd
