Words of Inspiration

“Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.”

A Special Applause to...

We are so lucky to have the amount of planning and collaboration time that we do at the Greene School. You spend so much time working with others to create an amazing school experience for students. What happens when a wrench is thrown into to those plans like... a power outage!?!

I want to thank you for your flexibility and demeanor with students on Tuesday. Things could not have been smoother. While I am grateful for your efforts during this unexpected event, please know that the Board of Education also recognized your work at their meeting on Wednesday. This community values the care you give to the children of Sycamore. Thank you!

PD on the Fly...

This article was recently shared with me and I want to pass it along to you. As February arrives and we begin to celebrate Black History Month, we need to think about the messages we are sending to students. I know many of you are thinking about how to to engage students in this educational opportunity and I look forward to seeing and participating in the experiences you will create. Enjoy!

Information for the Staff

Staff Concern Meeting

A few weeks ago I linked a form for staff to begin submitting concerns that need to be addressed in the building (you can see it HERE or search your email by putting Boarding Pass as subject and Staff Concerns as has words in it). We are going to meet on Wednesday, January 29 right after dismissal in the MPR to get started.

You can view all responses by clicking HERE. We are beginning to address concerns. Please know that all concerns will be addressed. If someone has already submitted something you are concerned about, it is not necessary for you to re-submit the same item.

Professional Development Meeting

On Tuesday, we will resume check-ins on Professional Growth Plans. Just a reminder, group 1 will meet in the Media Center, group 2 will meet on the cafe stage, and group 3 will meet in the Old Gym. Not sure which group you are in, click HERE.

Staff Donation for Carnival Staff gift Card Basket

Our annual Carnival is coming up soon (Saturday, February 8) and every year we ask staff to donate a gift card to the Staff Gift Card Raffle Basket. If you can donate a gift card, please put it in Beth Bruck's mailbox.
