What's Happening at STE?
From the Principal's Desk
Our STEM Club started last week and received rave reviews from students who joined, this is a great way to get hands on time with science while having fun with Mrs. Johnson!
Last week we had Iris from Kid's Don't Float come and teach us how to be safe in and around water. This Friday, we will meet her at the pool to learn even more.
Schools everywhere are tightening up security and safety protocols. We value the trust you have put in us, sharing your child(ren) with us each day. Please be sure to call or send a note if your student is getting home a different way than usual. This will allow us clarity and confidence in how your child is leaving school. Thank you to those of you who have been doing that.
We appreciate you sharing your children with us, please remember my door is always open!

News from Mrs. Fisher
Happy February Sutton Families,
Our Specials schedule remains the same, Physical Education, will be Monday and Thursday each week but may be adjusted as needed for other events that are happening at school. We spent the first couple of weeks back in P.E. reviewing expectations and have had some more fun with cooperative games and activities. All grades are continuing to work on locomotion skills, team work, sportsmanship, nutrition, and responsibility. We have been discussing heart health and what makes our hearts happy and healthy. I’m excited that the children and some staff will be participating in Healthy Futures as this program further builds on the importance of regular physical activity. This is especially exciting because our P.E. plans work beautifully to support the Healthy Lifestyle P.B.L. that Mrs. Kelpe’s class is participating in this month. Thank you again for reminding your children to wear their P.E. shoes.
Music is still scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays this semester. We enjoyed learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and the music of the Civil Rights Movement this past month. We will also continue to learn about a variety of composers, musical styles and musical cultures. Your children have begun singing some seasonal music and will be working through their music for our spring concert. Thank you for your support in encouraging your children to always try their best in music. I appreciate it!
Library is still scheduled for every Wednesday. Thank you again for helping your children be diligent in returning their library books on-time and in good condition.
Have a Fabulous February! Mrs. Fisher :)
