Subway was first founded in1965 by a 17-year-old Fred DeLuca and a family friend peter Buck they open Peter super submarine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. after a few years the founders changed the name to subway and begin franchising in 1974.

Training

All individuals that sign the franchise agreement must attend and complete the world wide training program at subway headquarters for 2 weeks.

Qualifications

There is a number of costs associated with running a Subway franchise, and must attend and complete training program. The franchisee must operate the restaurant in strict compliance with all required methods, procedures, policies, standards, and specifications of the Subway system in the Operations Manual and in other writings issued by Subway.

Most subway operators position required a high school diploma.
