Reflections from the week of 1-30-17
It is hard to believe that we reached our 100th day of school last Wednesday. As I reflect back on these days, let me applaud you for your commitment to excellence at AMCHS and your ability to make a difference! Though school is going well, we must keep pushing ourselves to that next pinnacle of success. When things are going well, we will not let complacency settle in, but we well maintain our passion, love for learning, and mental toughness. If you encounter a set back, don't get dismayed because it is only a setup for comeback!
I often ask myself and other educators, “How can we connect and help all students succeed? How can we reach that next level of success with all students? What other instructional practices should we consider that we have not integrated?" Teaching is not a checkbox but a “journey of learning.” As long as we are on this journey, we must continuously learn, challenge ourselves and foster the growth mindset so all students can achieve at high levels. Though it has been a good year, we will keep pushing through the day to day grind of helping all students even the unmotivated ones.
If you are scheduled to have a 45 minute evaluation, be sure you are knowledgeable of the T-TESS rubric and contact your appraiser with any questions that you may have. Your ratings for the four domains will be guided by the rubric. Remember to upload your evidence through TalentEd portfolio (Uploading Evidence in TalentEd)
This is Your Moment to Shine!
