Zeta Day Speaker

We are excited to welcome Becca Rampe to Virginia Zeta Day as our speaker. She is a Theta Nu -- Auburn University at Montgomery alumna and currently serves as the District President for 4A (North Carolina). She will be speaking on "Be the Hive & Honey" focusing on sisterhood and supporting each other. Becca is a Staff Psychologist - Outreach Coordinator at UNC Wilmington.

Save the Bees!

At Zeta Day we will be assembling Bee Attracting Wildflower Seed Packets!

For much of the past ten years, beekeepers, primarily in the United States and Europe, have been reporting annual hive losses of 30% or higher, substantially more than is considered normal or sustainable. According to the US Department of Agriculture, bees of all sorts pollinate approximately 75 percent of the fruits, nuts and vegetables grown in the United States, and 1 out of every 3 bites of food people take is courtesy of bee pollination.

In keeping with the theme, Bee Zetas True, we hope these seed packets will help create more areas for pollination, which makes bees jobs a little less stressful!

Service Project

We will be collecting donation items for For Children's Sake of Virginia. FCS provides various services to children and families in the community including foster care and adoption services.

FCS is looking for items for babies and children who are going into foster homes to help provide basic necessities. We are collecting:

  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Pacifiers and/or teething toys
  • Full size personal hygiene items such as:
    • Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash
    • Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
    • Deodorant
    • Brushes/Combs
