Updates/Reminders
Specials Switch:
- 5th grade is testing again on Tuesday, April 10th and Wednesday, April 11th. We are going to need to switch Specials times just on those days when we return from Spring Break. First Grade, please go to Specials at 8:05 and 5th grade please go at 2:10. This is the last time this year. 1st grade, we will do PLC on Friday the 13th.
Calculators:
- 3rd-5th grade teachers- every student needs a working calculator for the EOG. Please count your working calculators and tell us how many you have for your class. DL, teachers please fill out one form here for each of your classes (so you will submit 2 forms). Thank you! Please complete by April 10th.
Check Ins:
- Our support folks and specialists will be assisting with 4th-5th grade Check In assessments until about 10. Please be sure the hallways are quiet during testing.
Office Discipline:
- Please remember that we cannot have students sent up to the office or walked up to the office for discipline referrals. Instead, please use a buddy classroom if a student needs a break. Many times we are in meetings, observations, and conferences and it is not effective behavior management for kids to sit and chill in the office. If there is something that warrants an office referral complete the online discipline form and we promise we will get it to as soon as possible. You can find the discipline form by typing "NCE Discipline Referral Form" into the search bar of your google drive. Of course, call the office if you need help with a severe student meltdown that needs immediate attention. We definitely want to continue to support behavior management.
- Packets will be available beginning tomorrow Monday, April 9th. The registration window is April 9th - April 20th. If you have a child, or know of a child, who will be 5 on or before August 31 please visit the school during those dates to get your packet and register for kindergarten. Help us spread the word throughout the community that registration is here!
Report Card Grades:
- Report Cards will go home with everyone Friday!
- 3rd - 5th teachers, Grades will be Due to Evonne on Tuesday, April 10th at 8 am!
- K-2 report cards will be reviewed on Thursday, April 12th. Please do not stuff report cards in envelopes until Carla/Sarah have reviewed!
