Great things are happening at Greenleaf Elementary
4th Grade Music Program
The fourth grade music students presented their musical, "A Party in a Pear Tree," on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The program is based on the lyrics of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." The story takes the audience on the journey of Party the Partridge who is stuck up in the pear tree. It takes the turtle doves, French hens, calling birds and an operator, geese a-laying, swans a-swimming, maids a-milking and their cow, and the drummers drumming to get her down. We are very proud of our students who memorized their lines and made the program such an enjoyable experience for the audience!
2nd grade Author Celebration
The second grade students had their first Author Celebration. For all of the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends that were able to attend, “Thank You!” for coming. The students love it when you are able to support them with your attendance to these types of activities.
If you were not able to come, we will have another one in the spring.
Ornament Day
GLE students participating in making holiday ornaments. Thank you PTO for a meaningful experience.
I want to thank the PTO volunteers that have been up at school for tireless hours decorating the halls to create a festive spirit and to provide Santa’s Secret Shop so our students can shop for the ones they love secretly. You are a blessing to the students and staff at Greenleaf Elementary.
Next Week We will Have Themes for Each Day:
If you have items that match the theme, let your child wear them to feel a part of the festive spirit.
MONDAY: Grinch Day - wear GREEN
Tuesday: Santa Clothes Day - wear RED
Wednesday: Stocking Day - wear your favorite Holiday Socks
Thursday: Jingle Bells - wear your jingle bells.
