CNUSD Announces New Santiago Principal

Big picture

Hello Santiago Students and Parents, my name is Kenny Torres, and I am proud to be named the 6th Principal in the history of Santiago High School. Santiago is a special place, and I cannot wait to get started on this new journey. It feels great to go back home. For those of you that don’t know, I was the Assistant Principal at Santiago High School for 10 years (2006-2016) and I am excited to again work with our students, parents, and community. I was the Principal at Orange Grove High School for the last 4 ½ years and have been in education over 21 years. I know this year has been tough with all of the challenges that have been thrown our way but I believe brighter times are ahead. Santiago has always excelled in the 4 A’s- Academics, Arts, Activities, and Athletics- My mission is to create an environment of support and use our resources to thrive in all areas. I look forward to meeting students and parents as soon as it is possible. My philosophy has always centered-around students and providing them with an exceptional high school experience. We will work hard to make your child’s experience the best possible, even under these circumstances. I will hit the ground running on Monday, November 16th. I am excited for this opportunity to be your new Principal.

Go Sharks!
