Is a type of storm also called a tropical cyclone. It forms over tropical or sub-tropical waters. They gather heat and energy through warm ocean waters. Drastic temperature change and heavy rainfall can help predict a hurricane. Early warning systems can help save lives. Also buy some wood and board up our windows and make it water tight.

It all started August 23rd, 1996 and ended September 8th, 1996. The states it hit were NC, WV, Maryland, VA, Pennsylvania and SC. It was a category 3 hurricane with 115 mph winds. 3 schools and several homes were damaged, it followed the same path as hurricane Edouard. 37 lost there lives during this tragedy.
