From Mrs. Lewis...

  • NO CLUBS ON TUESDAY!
  • Data Conferences will be held next week. Schedule to come.
  • Classrooms should be cleaned and all food thrown away or put away in air tight containers. Blinds should be closed and all windows secured. The REFRIGERATOR will be emptied and cleaned during the break.
  • Jeanfest begins today. Enjoy the next several days of jeans spirit/holiday wear!
  • The Tour of Spring Hill on Wednesday, December 19th! Bring a side dish or appetizer to enjoy after the last bus has left.
  • ALL paperwork must be submitted before going home...benchmark analysis, 40 names, Tier paperwork, etc.
  • Please find the half-day schedule for Wednesday included in Friday Review.
  • As we move into the new year, please be reminded to rethink Spartan Groups. It is imperative that you are purposeful and working with your groups.
  • After Christmas we will determine students that will receive retention letters. Criteria to come.
  • Benchmarks / NC Check Ins will be administered after break. Purposeful review of high priority and priority standards should be reviewed. The students who did poorly the first time on the standard should have marked improvement. How will your 40 students/ bubble students do? What goals did you have students make.
  • Thank you for the awesome job you are doing with discipline! "We teach our students how to behave by what we allow, what we stop, what we ignore, and what we reinforce." Please be reminded that after a student has 2 bounces in one day contact administration and they will determine the next appropriate action. After 3 bounces in a nine-week period a student will serve 1 day of ISS.
  • Volunteers are needed for the Lego League Competition that will be held for the first time in Scotland County. The district will be hosting a qualifying event and asking teachers to please volunteer! We will share more information as it is receive from Dr. McRae!
  • Project Christmas Cheer is underway. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Help make Christmas special for some of our students!
  • PBIS celebration Wednesday, Dec. 19, 6th & 7th grade will report to the gym 8:45 - 9:45 and 8th grade will report 10:45 - 11:45. Please turn in the list of names by Monday afternoon to Mrs. Tippett. Slips will then be placed in your box for those students to fill our for their song request.
  • Chocolate sales rewards will take place on Tuesday, December 18. More information will be sent out on Monday.
